Here are some places they left out;

Pyongyang, North Korea - How could they not include a workers paradise under the rule of Kim Jong "mentally" Il.

Caracas, Venezuela - Hugo Chavez is just turning that country around with Socialism. So you can't get milk, bread and other basics at the local supermarket but hey that's the price you pay for living in a happy Socialist paradise.

Tehran, Iran - Free elections just thrive in a place like Iran, just remember to stay home and watch movies on TV and ignore the horrifying screams and police sirens, remember your happy!

I'm sure their are other happy places to live just as nice as the three I mentioned.

That was just TOO MUCH! I wouldn't live in ANY of those places! Is this a joke, or what? :laugh:
---Never, ever deal with terrorists. Hunt them down and, more important, mercilessly punish those states and groups that fund, arm, support, or simply allow their territories to be used by the terrorists with impunity.

It's really what I was thinking.  A banana republic being the happiest place?

Yes, I was surprised they left out a whole host of wonderful African hellholes to add to their collection of 3rd world dumpsters to live in.  One of their top ten, Honduras is in the throes of a political crisis and recently had a military coup.

This list showed with inadvertent brilliance how one should not subscribe to the crappy rag that Life has turned into.

Wait, is this a joke? This IS a joke, right? Is there some article that comes with it? Is there any explanation as to why these places are "happy"?

I get it. They counted the "ecological footprint" as one of the measures of "happiness." Since the US has a high ecological footprint, it cannot be happy.  :::D

They also have a measure of "overall life satisfaction," which is very high in Central America and Cuba. That's interesting. If they are so satisfied then why do they try to escape to the US and other Western countries both legally and illegally. Just tells you how much you could trust surveys like this by NGOs.

It may be true. People in such places are regulary brainwahsed that they live in the happiest place. Only few of them have access to information from sources other than the government ones.

Besides, they are occupied with sustaining their basic needs, so when they succeed in it, they feel really happy. When you manage to get a piece of bread to you or you family, you'll feel happy that you or the family are not going to starve.
Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help (Psalms 146:3)
