Worst gaffe yet, he just admitted to the inefficiency of government.
Actually what he is doing is kind of a low, underhanded thing (I know, a real stretch for him). He is trying to ease the minds of all the opponents by comparing the shipping industry with the health insurance industry and showing that the government run solution (post office) did not put the private companies (FedEx, UPS) out of business.
Unfortunately no one forces me to send letters or packages and my life and well being do not depend on it. Self sustaining? No taxpayer subsidies? What a joke! Anyone here believe that when millions of people are on the government health care plan and it begins to go bankrupt there won't be any taxpayer subsidies? How does the old saying go...if you believe that I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd like to sell you.
