(IsraelNN.com) The Regavim organization for national lands claimed Sunday that residents of Mahdal Shams have recently begun construction work on hundreds of dunams of land at the foot of Mount Hermon.
The construction began six weeks ago and is on an urban scale, the group said. Heavy engineering vehicles, trucks and tractors have been carving up mountains, laying roads and building houses – creating “facts on the ground” and causing irreversible damage to one of Israel's most unique natural ecosystems, they said.
