Jordan King Dismisses Parliament, Asks for 'Democracy'
« on: November 25, 2009, 09:19:47 AM »

Jordan's King Abdullah wants the country to institute a new, more modern elections law that will "advance the cause of democracy in the country." Abdullah made the call for a law to promote democratic elections a day after he invoked his royal prerogative and dismissed the lower house of Jordan's parliament.

Hussein gave the reason for dispersing the parliament as a lack of action on the laws it was supposed to legislate, including an income tax law.

Soon they should have neither the income nor the income tax law.
