How hard was it for you to make the change from being a christian to a noachide? what influenced you to change and how did you adjust?
One law in specific that really caught my eye and had trouble understanding (Prohibition of eating the limb of a living animal)is the dietary law of the seven, do you eat pork whatsoever?

It was studying the Hebrew scriptures (Christian OldTestament) in their original context that influenced me to change. I was used to studying them from the perspective of the New Testament only growing up as a child. This process of studying scripture in its original context rather than from the interpretation I inherited started as an attempt to find the true Church and ended up leading me to Judaism. Adjusting was hard at first because I had no real community for support. But I was most concerned at the time with doctrinal accuracy and I am fairly comfortable by myself as it is, so I survived. Food was one of the things that I eventually changed slightly as an attempt to observe the commandment you mentioned. Noahides are not restricted by the TYPE of food they eat. Therefore we can eat pork and other foods that are not kosher. This is because if you read Genesis 9 where G-d makes a covenant with Noah, it says in verse 3 "Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything." But in the next verse it says 4 "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it." This is where the command you mentioned comes from, and it specifically deals with the humane slaughter of animals so that they have no life when their meat is eaten. To be humanely slaughtered the animal must be completely dead before it is cut up ("limbs" removed) for consumption. It is not enough just to stun the animal as is done in sometimes in slaughterhouses. It is possible that a lot of the meat in America is acceptable but it's hard to tell exactly when since there is no "Noahide kosher". Therefore I try to stick to mainly fish and eggs (which this law does not apply to), and kosher food when it's available for meat purposes. Halal meat (which is slaughtered by Muslims) is also ok for Noahides but I don't eat that because when you purchase something from a Muslim you are funding terrorism which violates the Noahide law against murder. I know this seems a bit wordy but hopefully it begins to answer your question.

In the military the Jews (who are not usually Orthodox) tend to blend in with everyone else for the most part. From what I have seen from the Jewish sailors at my command, they are treated like everyone else. I have not seen anyone so far who has been disliked due to the fact that they were Jewish. However, most of the Jews I've met in the military really have nothing about them that makes them stand out as Jews except maybe a name. In the military we are not allowed to discriminate or show bias based on religious preference or race and they will often give us briefs that shove "equal opportunity" down our throat (lately they've been adding fags to the list of people we should supposedly be coexisting with). Unfortunately most of the Jews I've met seem like assimilated Jews and may attend some Deform services but don't really take their Judaism all that seriously. All the married Jews that work in fairly close connection with me are intermarried. As far as the military attitude toward Israel is concerned, the vast majority of people I've met tend to lean toward a pro-Israel attitude. Although it's kind of a watered down version of the pro-Israel position, it's pretty much widely accepted that Israel is our ally and the Arabs are not. There is a good amount of people I've talked to that would probably even share most of the views of JTF on the Israel issue, even though I don't talk politics much at work. However, there does exist a bit of anti-Israel sentiment. The worst anti-Israel people I've seen in the military come from those groups that are most closely associated with the Protestant Reformation--like I've met a few hardcore Lutherans who actually went so far as to admit that they agreed with Martin Luther's treatise "On the Jews and their Lies", as well as some hardcore Presbyterians who think the Jews should "return" to Europe. One guy who went to Bob Jones University actually said "F--- Israel." Of course if they express these views I argue with them until they back down and the people who know me know not to bash Israel when I'm around. However the few anti-Semites I've met do not take out their sentiments on the individual Jews in the military verbally or otherwise.

Hey Dan ben Noah.
During your time in the Armed Forces have you ever met anyone who has served in Kosovo? How aware are the people about the situation in the Balkans? Do they know that the U.S. Air Force bombed a Christian country in order to help Bosnian and Albanian Muslims, who have links to Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden? That the U.S. supports the creation of a Muslim country in the heart of a Christian Orthodox country after the Albanians have burned and destroyed most of the churches and monasteries, killed and expelled the majority of Serbs from that land?

What books would you recommend on the specific issue concerning the Noahide movement/laws?
The best book for a general easy-to-understand explanation of the movement and laws in my opinion would be "The Rainbow Covenant" by Michael Ellias Dallen. It should be available on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. For a detailed explanation of the Noahide law code, you will want to read "The Path of the Righteous Gentile" by Chaim Clorfene and Yakov Rogalsky. This book can now be read online here for free: http://moshiach.com/action/morality/introduction.phpOr you can go to the threads on the forum where I posted this book's information on all 7 laws (the e-book has more info on the movement itself though): http://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,32013.0.htmlhttp://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,32014.0.htmlhttp://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,32015.0.htmlhttp://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,32016.0.htmlhttp://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,32017.0.htmlhttp://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,32018.0.htmlhttp://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php/topic,32020.0.htmlAnother book which discusses the movement and all the laws and was particularly helpful to me on understanding the "limb of a living animal" law is "The Seven Colors of the Rainbow" by Yirmeyahu Bindman. This book may be a bit rare.

Hello Serbian Canadian, I have actually not met very many people who target countries outside the Middle East. I have heard, however, of military people who apparently know the Serbian-Croatian language which I presume is for work in that area but I have not talked to them. I met one guy whose ship went to somewhere in Croatia as a liberty port. But all-in-all I have not gotten the impression that there is much awareness about the situation in the Balkans at all. I myself was completely unfamiliar with the situation until I came on this forum, and there is still much I do not know. And to tell you the truth, at first I had no idea why a Jewish forum would spend so much time talking about this issue and I almost left the forum as a junior member when it seemed like the Balkan issue was taking over the entire forum after Chaim made a couple videos against Croatia which brought a bunch of Croatian Nazi trolls onto the forum. But since then after listening to Chaim talk about the issue and witnessing on YouTube what the different sides really stand for, I can now see how the cause of the Serbs parallels the cause of the Jews very closely and I definitely support the Serbs. I have witnessed how the U.S. is supporting a Muslim terrorist state in the Balkans of all places where it does not belong and this needs to be held up to the world as an example of what happens when a Muslim country is established anywhere. Serbs are our natural allies and Serbs need to work to get their message out among Americans and policy makers. Probably the best way to do that is to form organizations that say they are dedicated to Christian unity against terrorism and establish the Balkans as the front lines of the Muslim war against Christians. Many Americans would sympathize with this cause if they just knew about it.

Bio, Lisa, and Rubystars,
It's funny you should ask those questions because I currently have another Obama spoof video in the works and part of it features him singing a song. It should be done within the next few weeks if I can put it all together ok. So keep an eye out for that. Other than that, Bio, I have no plans at this time to do any songs of my own although I did submit a few songs for JTF that may be sung by other people someday.

I just finished reading an even better book than the ones I recommended here, written from heavy Mishneh Torah and religious Zionist influence: "Guide for the Noahide", by Rabbi Michael Shlomo Bar Ron http://www.lightcatcherprod.com/products_books_NoahideGuide.html

What I mainly experience is more like affirmative action "incidents" rather than full-fledged stories, but the last thing that happened that could pass for a story that I remember took place in the parking lot of a mall. A mall parking lot in my city is not a good place to be during the early afternoon hours. Actually, if you can't be there during the early afternoon hours you probably shouldn't be there any time. But anyway, my friend and I had just returned to my car when I saw out the corner of my eye an old white man staring at me from the car parked to the right of me. My friend and I were talking and I took no notice of this until a black man came up from behind my car and approached the passenger side window, which was rolled down. My friend was sitting in the passenger seat, and I was in the driver's seat. The black guy says, "Can y'all help me? My wife's a racist." He proceeded to explain how we should give him money due to the fact that his racist wife kicked him out of the place they were living in and he needed a hotel room. He then clarified that the old white guy in the car beside me was the woman's father who was driving him around. In return for our help, he offered us an old game system among his other worldly possessions--all stuffed in the back of the car. We didn't want the game system, so he offered to "introduce" us to his 6-year-old daughter who he said was "mixed" and that was apparently supposed to make her appealing to 2 men in their 20's. When I kept saying no, he would not leave, and finally my friend said "Aw come on, let's help him out a bit," possibly trying to avoid the situation escalating into a robbery. After he handed over money and the guy left, I sat there angry for about a minute and a half before I started the car, but later realized the money was probably going to go for alcohol either way.
What monsters--all of them, esp. the father. YEMACH SHEMUM VEZICRUM! Makes me sick to my stomach to hear such perverted backwardness. Bestiality should be punishable by death! How can these whores be so crazy? What's so appealing about ugly, dumb, smelly, poor, illegitimate, cruel schvartzas? And that father... hopefully he dies of aids. Or at least that's what I'd say "if I wasn't such a moderate." hehe
