LONDON –  British intelligence agents have launched an urgent investigation of up to a thousand recruits who are expected to fill in later this month if cabin staff workers for British Airways call a strike as expected, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

MI5 launched the review after agents arrested a heavily bearded IT expert working at the airline identified as Rajib Karim.

During the two weeks he was held at London's top security police station at Paddington Green, it emerged the 30-year-old Bangladeshi came to Britain five years ago and now has a British passport that fast-tracked him to a job in British Airways highly restricted computer division.

"It gave him insider knowledge into airline security," said an MI5 officer.

The Security Service alleges Karim passed "sensitive details" on to al-Qaida. Shortly before his arrest MI5 had intercepted encrypted computer files showing he was in regular contact with various terrorist groups in Pakistan and Yemen.

The information passed along apparently involved the liquids that passengers could carry aboard an airplane, among other details.
