I like to save money but I also like to buy some things that make me happy.

That's fine, but I there are a few little things I need even if I do decide on living the minimalist life, these minor possessions include. My high end desktop pc with the dual 24" monitors and broadband internet, the 50" flat screen with cable, blueray player, Blackberry with multimedia and unlimited plan, car...

If it comes down to survival it's a different story, but if I'm in relative financial security I'd like to keep my everyday comforts.

I'll say minimalist.
Her bicycle receives minimal care.  Both tires are nearly flat [out of air]. The body has never been lubricated. That means she's wasting her energy riding that bike.
