The perhaps most amazing discovery in history was made by a group of explorers at the beginnig of March in the Western German State of North Rhine-Westphalia. While exploring the flora in a scientific tour through the forests in Siegerland, they came accross a community of what they believed to be an unknown species of apes. They immediately contacted the University of Köln which lead the investigations and reccommended that the matter should be kept secret until the discovery was confirmed and the species could be correctly identified.
It was a great surprise to experts when they discovered that the small population of about 130 individuals are in fact Homo Neanderthalensis. Preliminary DNA studies show more than 99.97% concordance with known fossils. The German Government has decided to close the area for protection.
