The prime minister of Turkey has told the citizens of Israel to overthrow their own government because of its actions to enforce a blockade of materials that move into the Gaza Strip, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
Erdogen addressed the Israeli people before the Turkish parliament, urging them to take action.
"It is the Israeli people who must stop the Israeli government in the first place. Israel cannot ensure its security by drawing the hatred of the entire world," Erdogan said.
Addressing the Israel people specifically, he said, "It is damaging your country's image by conducting banditry and piracy. It is damaging the interests of Israel and your peace and security."
Erdogan's comments suggested to his parliament that Turkey's issues are not with the nation so much as they are with the current government led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his foreign minister, Avigdor Liebermann.
The distinction has become apparent in statements by Erdogan since last weekend's commando raid on ships that apparently intended to violate Israel's blockade. Erdogan has confirmed he will not hold any further meetings with Israeli government officials.
