In fact, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey has found that 63 percent of United States voters now favor repeal of the reform bill passed by congressional Democrats and signed into law by President Obama in March.
These results have spurred Revere America—an organization that advocates public policies rooted in the traditions of freedom and free markets, and chaired by former Republican New York Governor George Pataki—to highlight its national petition drive.
The initiative aims to collect 1 million signatures of people who want to repeal and replace the healthcare reform bill. It was launched in Boston on April 18, the 235th Anniversary of Paul Revere’s Ride, and has since traveled to 10 cities with more stops planned in the months ahead.
"Rasmussen’s new poll shows beyond any doubt the depth of opposition to the government takeover of healthcare," Pataki said, adding that "it’s not enough to just tell a pollster that you oppose ObamaCare and hope that out of touch politicians in Washington will pay attention."ADNFCR-1961-ID-19804777-ADNFCR
