Rubystars gave a good answer. At the practical level I'd say probably Muslims are more fanatical about mass-murder of Jews and other infidels, because they actually kill themselves in order to kill Jews. (German) Nazis didn't do that. But Nazis also had vastly superior mass-murder technology.

I have heard it said that Hitlers irrational hatred of Jews caused him to allocate more resources at the end of the war to exterminating the Jews than he allocated to protect Germany from advancing forces. I don't think your example holds up in light of this... Nazis will sacrifice themselves, and their homeland, in the attempt to make the world Judenrein..

This is very true. A proof of that can be found in his last radio speech, when he said:"When Berlin falls and Germany gets invaded by the enemies, Germans have proven to be weak and that makes them worth for being exterminated."
This only shows that his blind hatred he felt against Jews was overshadowing all of his thoughts and acts. And today there are people believing the same things. Like Ahmadinejad for example. He would sacrifice his people only to see all Jews dead and Israel exterminated!

 What I'm finding out more and more are people are in denial about the dangers from those who believe in Islam.   Or in some cases,  they look the other way because its more convenient in the short term.     This website seems to be a wealth of information that speaks the truth about Islam.

I'm reading Anne Franks diary and that's what sparked interest.
Half way through it so far.
Amazing how they stayed in a building inches from death while buildings across the street were being blown to bits.

According to the Wikipedia article the Goebbels had more than one opportunity to send their children to safety but did not (I have to say in the long run this is probably a blessing, because they were obviously not being raised with good values and might have been very evil when they grew up). The parents seemed to prefer that they die with them. The wikipedia article says  that one of the girls had bruises and a broken jaw, indicating that she had struggled against her murderer. Whether this was the mother herself that did it or someone else she had murder her children, we will probably never know. The wikipedia article suggests that Magda didn't want them to grow up learning that their father had been evil and that was part of her sick reasoning for murdering them instead of sending them where they would get away in time.

I'm not going to bother comparing the two, it is a pointless exercise to be perfectly honest.  These days we have to worry about Muslims far more than Nazis though.

My concern is a comparison between the differnt ways the two are treated by the Left.  Their response to the Nazis is hysterical and self-serving, using peope's justified outrage at Nazism to attack even moderate, centre-right ideas by casting aspertions.  Their rather different response to Islam is quite revealing.

Of course this is not meant to accuse everyone on the Left of rank hypocrisy, there are a few people firmly of the Left who recognise the danger that Muslims pose to Western, liberal principles (free speech, rule of law, individual rights, women's rights, democracy) and are capable of attacking Islam with the contempt it deserves.
