A Ford Heights man is accused of sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl while other juveniles looked on.
The child's mother told police she heard her daughter crying and went into an upstairs bedroom and saw Brentez Davis, 20, lying on top of the child with his pants down.
Davis is a relative of a man who lives with the girl's family and recently moved into the home, according to the Cook County Sheriff's department.
The mother grabbed her daughter and ran from the home.
The victim and the other children in the room during the attack were interviewed at the Joli Burrell Children's Advocacy Center and investigators say all corroborated the mother's story.
Police say Davis has previous arrests for armed robbery, battery and cannabis possession. His bond is set at $100,000.
