What will Israel do?
« on: September 15, 2010, 09:36:16 PM »
If Tel Aviv, G-d forbid!!!!!!!, is nuked (by Iran, obviously), what will Israel do?  My guess is that, undoubtedly, Israel will nuke Teheran.  But will it nuke Syria and Saudi Arabia as well?

I'm sorry that I even have these thoughts.  But 9-11 changed me a lot.  The un-thinkable and un-imaginable happened on that day and now I believe that even (G-d forbid!!!!!!) the destruction of Israel is possible.

But what will Israel do?

If Israel is nuked, that is the end of Israel.  Period.

The only retaliation carried out, if at all, would be done by military personnel far from Israel's borders.

Iran is correct when it states that Israel is a 1-bomb country - so tiny a land area that one decent sized nuke turns the whole place into green glass.

As for the possibility that the Israeli leadership will remain alive in bunkers underground, all I can say is that if they're cowardly enough to hide in bunkers rather than order a preemptive strike to save their country, then I don't expect them to do anything but run to the UN 'after the fact' and whine about how their country is radioactive glass and all the Jews are annihilated.

The world media will have a field day toasting themselves with fine champagne live on camera to celebrate the genocide of the Jews.

Ok, now I am getting disturbed... Where is everyones Emmunah in Hashem?

I know it sounds foreign to many here that a Jew should have faith in Hashem even to the point that the blade is against your throat. I also know that it is difficult to have faith in Israel because of all the letdowns which we have experienced in the recent history. But we also have witnessed miracles. I am not quick to despair about this. How many of the Hamas missiles have been launched at Israeli cities? So many I have lost count, but there is a miracle in all of this... Very few of their missiles have hit targets which have caused casualties.

Surely I know that they are supposed to have some more accurate missiles. And they threaten to use them. It is a frightening prospect. But no matter what happens I know that I have faith that Hashem will protect us, the Jewish people, from complete destruction. It is not very good to talk about such morbid things right before Yom Yippur, in my opinion, because it causes some to question their own faith. If you cause someone to lose faith in Hashem you are responsible for that, and according to Jewish belief you will be accountable for it on the day of judgment {Yom HaDin}.

Israel should turn to Hashem this Yom Kippur and do some serious introspection about the whole so-called 'peace process'. It is not worth spending time negotiating with peoples who are liars and may not be in power in ten years {I am talking about Hamas vs Fatah}. It is also silly to talk with people who will not acknowledge Israel as the "JEWISH STATE" which it must be. If I were Bibi I would not move an inch till they at least openly and in writing acknowledge Israel as the Jewish state. But even that would just be taqiyya or otherwise known as a boldfaced lie, arabs are incapable of honest dealings.

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

I will tell you what I think,

But I definitely! defiantly! would not worry if a nuke hits Israel
I will tell you why. If Israel is nuked G-d forbid , It will prove once and for that G-d is G-d.

This is the final set up: talks bout about us ours eyes rot in their sockets while standing look at the things I highlight.

The plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13  men will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. man will seize the hand of another, they will attack each other. 14Judah will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected— 15A plague will also strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.

No Hebrew word for WMD sorry so plague is used.

after every 7 letters of the word president, Obama is spelled

1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the NASI (The world mens president in Hebrew) ;) of [a] Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him 3 and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 4  I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush [c] and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.

7 " 'Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. 8 After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.

10 " 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. 11 You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land." 13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages [d] will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?" '

14 "Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, O Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.

17 " 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Are you not the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. 18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath[/u] I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man's sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him  (nukes?)[/color]. 23 And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'
Ezekiel 39

1 "Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of [e] Meshech and Tubal. 2 I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. 4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals. 5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD. 6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.

7 " 'I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel. 8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD. This is the day I have spoken of.

9 " 'Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up—the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 10 They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign LORD.

11 " 'On that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east toward [f] the Sea. [g] It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog. [h]

12 " 'For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land. 13 All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I am glorified will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign LORD.

14 " 'Men will be regularly employed to cleanse the land. Some will go throughout the land and, in addition to them, others will bury those that remain on the ground. At the end of the seven months they will begin their search. 15 As they go through the land and one of them sees a human bone, he will set up a marker beside it until the gravediggers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog. 16 (Also a town called Hamonah will be there.) And so they will cleanse the land.'

17 "Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: 'Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls—all of them fattened animals from Bashan. 19 At the sacrifice I am preparing for you, you will eat fat till you are glutted and drink blood till you are drunk. 20 At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,' declares the Sovereign LORD.

21 "I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay upon them. 22 From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their G-d. 23 And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. 24 I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them.

25 "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now bring Jacob back from captivity [j] and I will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. 26 They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid. 27 When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am the LORD their G-d, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. 29 I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD."

I recall the passage we read today during Yom Kippur Haftorah reading. It is from the Navi/Prophet Yeshayahu/Issiah 57:14-58:14...

It is intended to rebuke the nation of Israel for its robotic service and explain what Hashem expects from us... I found it very motivational...

Chapter 57:

14. And he shall say, "Pave, pave, clear the way; remove the obstacles from the way of My people."         יד.
15. For so said the High and Exalted One, Who dwells to eternity, and His name is Holy, "With the lofty and the holy ones I dwell, and with the crushed and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the crushed.         טו.
16. For I will not contend forever, neither will I be wroth to eternity, when a spirit from before Me humbles itself, and souls [which] I have made.         טז.
17. For the iniquity of his thievery I became wroth, and I smote him, I hid Myself and became wroth, for he went rebelliously in the way of his heart.         יז.
18. I saw his ways and I will heal him, and I will lead him and requite with consolations him and his mourners.         יח.
19. (I) create the speech of the lips; peace, peace to the far and to the near," says the Lord, "and I will heal him."         יט.
20. But the wicked are like the turbulent sea, for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mud and dirt.         כ.
21. "There is no peace," says my G-d, "for the wicked."

Chapter 58:

1. Call with a [full] throat, do not spare, like a shofar raise your voice, and relate to My people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins.         א.
2. Yet they seek Me daily and they wish to know My ways, like a nation that performed righteousness and did not forsake the ordinance of its G-d: they ask Me ordinances of righteousness; they desire nearness to G-d.         ב.
3. "Why have we fasted, and You did not see; we have afflicted our soul and You do not know?" Behold, on the day of your fast you pursue business, and [from] all your debtors you exact [payment].         ג.
4. Behold, for quarrel and strife you fast, and to strike with a fist of wickedness. Do not fast like this day, to make your voice heard on high.         ד.
5. Will such be the fast I will choose, a day of man's afflicting his soul? Is it to bend his head like a fishhook and spread out sackcloth and ashes? Will you call this a fast and an acceptable day to the Lord?         ה.
6. Is this not the fast I will choose? To undo the fetters of wickedness, to untie the bands of perverseness, and to let out the oppressed free, and all perverseness you shall eliminate.         ו.
7. Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and moaning poor you shall bring home; when you see a naked one, you shall clothe him, and from your flesh you shall not hide.         ז.
8. Then your light shall break forth as the dawn, and your healing shall quickly sprout, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall gather you in.         ח.
9. Then you shall call and the Lord shall answer, you shall cry and He shall say, "Here I am," if you remove perverseness from your midst, putting forth the finger and speaking wickedness.         ט.
10. And you draw out your soul to the hungry, and an afflicted soul you sate, then your light shall shine in the darkness, and your darkness shall be like noon.         י.
11. And the Lord shall always lead you, and He shall satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; and you shall be like a well-watered garden and like a spring of water whose water does not fail.         יא.
12. And [those coming] from you shall build ancient ruins, foundations of generations you shall erect, and you shall be called the repairer of the breaches, restorer of the paths, to dwell in.         יב.
13. If you restrain your foot because of the Sabbath, from performing your affairs on My holy day, and you call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord honored, and you honor it by not doing your wonted ways, by not pursuing your affairs and speaking words.         יג.
14. Then, you shall delight with the Lord, and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the land, and I will give you to eat the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Duet 16:13-14

If Israel does not destroy Iran's nuclear program, God-forbid. Israel will be punished.

If Iran nukes Israel, it's not going to destroy every Jew in the world.  There will be a remnant left who HOPEFULLY by that time will realize that Kahane was right all along and the way to run Israel is not the Bolshevik way but the Torah way.  A true right wing government would be set up which would take no more crap from the rest of the world.  It's possible that someone who is not in Israel right now such as Chaim would have to become the leader because most people there would be dead.  That could be the reason that Chaim is still here, but I pray that Israel will change course and do the right thing so that all those lives can be spared.

you should say chas ve shalom to this scenario.

True , but nature hates a vacuum , somethings got to happen another 50 years of this bs?

The tanch keeps stating how Jerusalem will be the key to the end of days , I would actually  be odd if the prophecy does not come true with the set up we have today.

Anyone ever wonder if god allowed a secular Israel to exist just to illustrate it doesn't work? We all know the god of Israel likes to show off his wisdom from time to time lol.
