How "Jewey" is Albany, New York?
« on: October 05, 2010, 10:31:23 PM »
I have only spent brief time in Albany at a bus stop, and I think I went there for a concert or two when I was younger.  I don't know what the city is like.  Its a reasonable distance from my parents who live north of this town, there is a school there I could attend, and its close enough to NYC that I can visit friends from when I lived in Manhattan [and hopefully attend  JTF meetings].  I saw there is at least one Orthodox shul, and I have heard there is one Kosher grocery store, and I think there is a Chabad there too. -- Has anyone here firsthand knowledge, or reliable second hand knowledge of what Albany, New York is like [for a Jew]?
