Jan Brewer actually lost in Tucson.). Meanwhile, American hero Jonathan Pollard rots on federal death row for something that isn't even a crime. Gotta love American "justice".

Freeway chase ends in deadly crash north of Tucson

A man was killed Thursday morning in a freeway crash when his pickup truck was rear-ended by a car being chased by the state Department of Public Safety, officials said.
The incident started about 7 a.m. when an officer stopped a driver in a Pontiac sedan headed west on Interstate 10 near Picacho Peak, said Officer Quent Mehr, an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman.
The driver sped away, crossing the median and headed toward Tucson.
The driver smashed into a pickup truck near the Marana Road exit.
Both vehicles ripped through a fence separating the freeway from the frontage road.
The driver of the pickup truck was thrown from the cab and died at the scene, Mehr said. He is believed to be in his 20s.
The driver of the car being chased was not injured. He also is believed to be in his 20s.
The man was taken into custody about 10 a.m. but no charges have been filed, Mehr said.
Traffic was backed up for miles. Motorists are being diverted beginning at the Marana Road exit.
Investigators from Tucson and the state DPS office in Phoenix are at the scene and Mehr said late Thursday morning that he did not know how long it would be before the interstate reopened.
