This past Wednesday Night, I had the privilege of attending the event at Leonard's of Great Neck in which long time Republican NY State Senator Frank Padavan ( he represented much of Northeast Queens ) was honored for decades of outstanding public service. Unfortunately, Frank Padavan, who was the only remaining Republican from Queens in the NY State Senate, was defeated in the November 2, 2010 election.
I put together some videos from the event:

' My Way' with Frank Padavan and Liz Berney'
The following are a couple of articles that reflect on Frank Padavan's accomplishments. As a person with a Special Needs sibling, I'm greatly appreciative of Frank Padavan's efforts for special needs people and their families:

"Israel's leaders seem to be more afraid of Obama than they are of G-d. Now we're getting to the real root of the problem. Secular politics won't save Israel. Denying the divine nature of the Jewish State has brought Israel neither stability nor peace. When that changes Israel will finally be blessed with both in abundance"-----------NormanF ( Posted on Israel Matzav's Blog )
