Apparently something similar to facebook, only without the fascism posed upon rightwingers, no private information sharing and other evil things that suckerberg does.

What's wrong with Facebook? I've never understood the attraction and don't use it, but would like to know in more details why are you against this site and Mark Zuckerbergs.

Just a few days ago, facebook started deleting rightwing facebook accounts. One friend of mine who has about 5000 fb 'friends' lost over 40 friends. I only lost 2 in one day.
It also sometimes blocks your ability to connect to other people, usually happening to rightwingers.
Suckerberg appears to have said, when questioned about him sharing personal details to 3rd companies: "F... the people".

It has happened to me that it won't let me add friends sometimes (for no apparent reason), but I don't know that it has anything to do with me being rightwing.

I think there are automatic filters set up that prevent anyone from adding too many friends.  The site started out as a social networking site, but they no longer consider themselves as such.  The change took place without any formal announcements.   They consider their site to be exclusively for people who actually know each other in real life to connect, Not for strangers to meet each other and connect.    This despite the fact that they still roll out hundreds of "people you may know" on everyone's homepage.  (Of course that used to be called 'recommended friends' when it was a social networking site.    But sometimes you can click ' add friend' to one of these people u may know ( and they probably have many friends in common which is how they got on the list) and it will say you cannot add this person because facebook suspects you do not know them!   Totally insane.

I think zuckerberg is basically a jerk who is obsessed with being perceived as "cool."  I think the company are a bunch of jerks to completely reinvent the whole site without even informing its millions of users with so much as a note.

I don't use the internet for a social life either and basically hate such sites, but I use it for politics which is quite effective.

Not really cause that would mean that pretty much everyone is a nerd.   It is very rare to find someone with facebook, especially if they are currently in college or were in college over the past 8 years or so.   But even with adults, it is widespread, probably more than you realize.

A girl was raped after a pervert looked in her Facebook profile and saw where she lives and where she is. A young teenage guy commited suicide after he suffered endless insults from Facebook friends... So it ain't no bullsh*t! Also, so many people sit at home all day long, like retarded jerks, and comment on stupid photos, do chats and many other idiotic stuff... Seriously though dude, you're a youngster, so you don't realize that before they invented computers and the internet kids used to commit suicide because of the insults and taunting they received in person from classmates.   It simply changes the venue, but people are still the same, and there will be a person or two that commit suicide unfortunately due to abuse leveled at him/her by others.   But suicide wasn't invented by facebook.

I have heard of this website and I am leary of Facebook and Twitter because some people have had their info hacked into.
