i am against to serve in the idf but how can you explain that rabbi kahane was for it even after the tragedy in yamit and in sinai
whats the difference between yamit and sinai to gush katif and amona?i cant understand it
No exactly sure, but I can guess that even Rabbi Kahane changed his mind in some of these things as well. For example his last book is called "Revolution or Referendum" even though before he was banned he was for voting and being part of the political system (in order to change it), but then he say that the system wont allow such change to naturally occur. People need to think "outside the box".
Maybe similarly to the IDF. Back then we saw Israel more (or somewhat more) as actually fighting the Arab enemies. Being a "leftist" was not popular and even the leftists weren't doing or proposing what they are doing now. Oslo changed a lot of things. The gov. and the media (which all work together) especially promoted "peace" day in day out in the media, schools, gov. etc. etc.
