IT is no Coincidence : Gay Marriage Announcement

It just struck me that the timing of Obamas 'evolution' on the gay marriage issue JUST SO HAPPENED to occur the week after we read Parasha Kedoshim which contains the law which prohibits homosexual sex.

The Sixth Aliyah contains several of the prohibited relations...

Chapter 20
9. For any man who curses his father or his mother shall be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood is upon himself.
10. And a man who commits adultery with [another] man's wife, committing adultery with the wife of his fellow the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
11. And a man who lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon themselves.
12. And a man who lies with his daughter in law both of them shall surely be put to death; they have committed a depravity; their blood is upon themselves.
13. And a man who lies with a male as one would with a woman both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon themselves.
14. And a man who takes a woman and her mother it is evil counsel. They shall burn him and them in fire, and there shall be no evil counsel in your midst.

I just wonder what the liberal lefty deformed rabbis say when they read this parasha. I was so depressed when I read a story on FOX news this evening which discussed 'religious leaders' response to mr obamas coming out. All the Christians interviewed expressed anger at this, except for the ONE Jewish 'leader' who happened to be one of these liberal lefty deformed 'rabbis'. He said that everything in the Torah should not be taken literally.

That is the difference between the deformed strain of Jews and the original Jews who keep Torah. We understand that some parts of the Torah are not to be taken literally, but that when it comes to Mitzvot there is no compromise that there are 613 commandments. While we are unable to accomplish all of these 613 in this time {because we lack the Temple, and the Korbanot} we are still responsible for them and should be striving to rebuild the Temple and establish the Sanhedrin.

But not all religious leaders agree. Rabbi Irwin Kula, president of the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, says the Jewish community does not interpret the Bible literally. But he does expect it will be divided on the president's stance. 

"Judaism, like all the major religions, has very major splits on these sorts of social issues," Kula said. "So in the most traditionalist community, the orthodox community, there will be opposition."

Kula himself supports gay marriage and supports the president in publicly stating his position. "The president went through the personal journey that is a religious and spiritual journey that millions of Americans are on," he said. "That is, to come to understand that people who are different, people who are other, are actually deserving of equal rights."
