Syrian Cleric Supported Blowing Up American and Israeli Targets:
A Syrian Sunni cleric who was killed last week in a suicide bomb attack on a central Damascus mosque had in the past expressed support for Hizbullah and advocated for bombing American and Israeli targets around the world.
The cleric, Mohamed al-Bouti, was one of 42 people who were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque last Thursday. Bouti was the most senior pro-regime Sunni cleric in Syria.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) posted to YouTube two clips in which Bouti is seen supporting terrorists.

Syria regime accused of new chemical attack:
Syrian opposition campaigners said that forces loyal to the regime of President Bashar al-Assad had fired what they said were chemical weapons at rebels surrounding an army base in the town of Adra on the outskirts of Damascus.
"Doctors are describing the chemical weapon used as phosphorus that hits the nervous system and causes imbalance and loss of consciousness," said Mohammad al-Doumani, an activist in the nearby town of Douma, where the wounded were transported.

Kofi Annan claims it is too late for outside intervention in Syria:
Syria's civil war cannot be resolved by outside meddling as the regime and the rebels are committed to the fight for control of the divided state, Kofi Annan, the former UN secretary general has said.
Mr Annan said he believed that Western powers had left it too late to intervene effectively in the situation.
"I don't see a military intervention in Syria. We left it too late. I'm not sure it would not do more harm," he told the Graduate Institute in Geneva on Tuesday night.

What is the problem if it further converts in to a long drawn protracted war.
