Egypt Church bombings: At least 43 killed.

At least 43 people have been killed in two bomb attacks targeting two Egyptian churches packed with Palm Sunday worshippers claimed by Isis.

The first attack took place in the Saint George church in the Nile Delta town of Tanta, north of Cairo, killing 27 and wounding at least 78, the Ministry of Health said.

Later, an explosion hit Saint Mark's Cathedral in the coastal city of Alexandria, the historic seat of Christendom in Egypt, killing at least 16 and wounding 31 just after Pope Tawadros II finished services.

His aides later told local media he had escaped unharmed. "These acts will not harm the unity and cohesion of the people," Mr Tawadros said later, according to state media.

Egypt's Interior Ministry said a suicide bomber tried to storm the entrance before being stopped in police. The ministry said three policemen were among those killed in the attack.
Isis claimed responsibility for both attacks.

"A group that belongs to Islamic State carried out the two attacks on the churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria," the group's news agency Amaq said.

The group recently warned it would step up attacks on Egypt's Christians - the jihadis warned in the aftermath of the two bombings, which they claimed were carried out using suicide vests - that further attacks would take place.

It was the latest in a series of assaults on Egypt's Christian minority, which makes up around 10 percent of the population and has been repeatedly targeted by Islamic extremists.

At the verge of being beaten in the infighting, ISIS is spreading its broken wings in all the directions.

U.S. drops "mother of all bombs" in Afghanistan, marking weapon's first use:

The U.S. dropped a bomb containing 11 tons of explosives on an ISIS cave complex in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province on the border with Pakistan on Thursday, a Pentagon spokesman confirmed to CBS News’ David Martin.

The bomb is officially called a GBU-43 or Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), leading to its nickname as the “mother of all bombs.” The weapon is the largest non-nuclear bomb in the U.S. arsenal and has never before been used in combat.

The strike was designed to minimize the risk to Afghan and U.S. Forces conducting clearing operations in the area while maximizing the destruction of ISIS-K fighters and facilities,” the Pentagon said in a statement, using the term for the Islamic State’s Afghanistan branch.

So at last some qualitative change has been made. Such bombs should be dropped on all the muslamic jihadi terrorists.

syyuge:
Hiroshima was 15 KTn. Modern tactical nukes are =or> 1.0 KTn. MOAB is only 0.01 KTn. So MOAB is 1500 times weaker than the Hiroshima. Hence more and more tactical nukes shall be used against the concentrated muslamic terrorist targets especially during their days of festivity. Strategical nukes shall only be used judiciously against the widespread muslamic terrorist targets especially in their desert like environmentally degraded area. After all Ecology and environment are of huge global concerns to the humanity.

What Tourism? Stone Pelters 'Sacrificing Life For Kashmir': Farooq Abdullah

SRINAGAR:  National Conference patriarch Farooq Abdullah has triggered a debate, claiming young men who were on the streets pelting stones, were doing so "for the nation".  The young men throwing stones, he added, "were sacrificing their life for the resolution of Kashmir (issue)".

The former Chief Minister's comments were a response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent comment asking Kashmir to choose between tourism and terrorism.

"I want to tell the Prime Minister that tourism is our life, but the one who is pelting stones is not bothered about tourism. He is ready to starve and die," Mr Abdullah said. "But the Prime Minister must understand that he is pelting stones for the nation. The young men throwing stones were sacrificing their life for the resolution of Kashmir (issue)."

Mr Abdullah has been seen as going soft on separatists since arch-rival People's Democratic Party's victory in the 2015 assembly elections. In December, he had triggered a political storm after expressing willingness to work with the separatist Hurriyat Conference for a resolution of the Kashmir issue.

While some sections claimed that Mr Abdullah was playing to the domestic constituency, his remarks were sharply criticized by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and the BJP.  Ms Mufti had accused him of going to "any extent for power".

The stone-pelting protests had made an appearance in Kashmir valley in 2008 and they have been seen many times over the following years. During the five-month protests last year following the death of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani, thousands of protesters had targeted the police and security forces with stones.

These new generation of the muslamic terrorists is being influenced by the ideas of ISIS, international muslamic caliphate and the gazwat-ul-hind. Kill them or not, but they are not going to change. If they survive, they will opt for the gazwat-ul-hind.

Afghan casualties in Taliban Mazar-e Sharif attack pass 100:

More than 100 Afghan soldiers were killed or wounded in a Taliban attack on an army base on Friday, the defence ministry has confirmed.
Fighting lasted for several hours near the city of Mazar-e Sharif in northern Balkh province.
Insurgents targeted those leaving Friday prayers at the base's mosque and others in a canteen, the army said.
The Taliban said in a statement they had carried out the attack, using suicide bombers to breach defenses.

Earlier estimates put the death toll as high as 134, but a statement from the defence ministry on Saturday gave the figure of more than 100 killed or injured.
It is one of the deadliest tolls in a Taliban attack on the Afghan army.
At least 10 Taliban militants were also killed in the fighting and one attacker was detained.

Hmmm, so this is some type of revenge by Talibani muslamic terrorists against the use of the MOAB. Trump must be taking a note of this.
