I always hear that tens and tens of rockets are fired into Israel every day, but I never hear of Israeli retaliation. Does anybody know what the protocol is?

 Yea, do nothing! Hope that perhaps they will get tired of these actions and just stop.

Every once in awhile the Israelis do an air strike in the Gaza Strip against tunnels or launch points or some targeted terrorist but they never take care of the problem.

 And that is also when the world media decides to pay attention to the "escalation of violence".
