http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12/17/15971960-conn-massacre-lessons-from-israel-where-guns-are-a-way-of-life?lite&lite=obinsiteIt is great that Israel has armed security at schools and that soldiers patrol the street, but the fact that a law-abiding Jewish citizen of Israel is not allowed to own guns to protect himself and his family angers me a lot. People ask why I do not make aliyah and this is one of the biggest reasons. Despite the fact that Arabs can easily acquire guns in Israel, through terrorist networks, etc, Jewish people have no such option. Jewish citizens must rely on the law, which makes it almost impossible for any Jew who has immigrated to Israel from USA to acquire. Therefore, I am at the mercy of finding someone to help me, when some heavily armed Bedouin or Arab breaks into my house with an AK-47 and terrorizes me and my family and steals all my belongings.
Israel is suppose to be a nation where Jews are free! However, it seems the corrupt government in Israel seeks to protect itself and yet overlooks the safety of its own people. For example, the Israeli government refuse to wipe out Hamas despite the fact they were launching rockets into crowded urban areas in Israel, which resulted in the death and injury of women and children.
Sadly, I have more freedom and rights in USA as of right now, then in my own ancestral homeland. There is no place in the USA where I am not allowed to pray, but in Israel I am not even allowed to pray at one of the most holy of all Jewish sites, The Temple Mount. Sadly, the Israeli government protects the Muslims and will arrest "The Juden" who go and pray at this holy site, now devoted to the Islamic religion, which seeks to exterminate the Jewish religion.
I refuse to live in a nation surrounded by so many hostile threats, where I am not allowed the right to keep and bear arms. I look forward to the day when a Kahanist leader takes control of Israel and will give all Jewish citizens their G-d given rights to defend themselves and their families.
I am not willing to give up my guns, my freedom so I can be helpless and weak in a country that is home to over 1,000,000 Islamic Jew-haters, the country called Israel. This is not to mention how Israel is now surrounded by the Islamic theocracy of Mitzraim (Egypt) and all the other Islamo-terrorist nations.
Yariv, owner of the Lahav weapon shop in Tel Aviv, told Israeli Army radio: "A very little amount of people buy private guns, since the Israeli citizen knows in advance that his chances to buy and own a gun amounts to zero.
THis is disgusting to me. Every Arab man can go buy a gun for his family, but somehow every Jewish man is inferior to his government and cannot be trusted with guns. I know another reason why Israeli government may not want Jews to have guns. Considering, that there has been Israeli soldiers ordered to throw Jews out of their homes and demolish them so that they can be given to Arabs. Well, just as with the 2nd Amendment in the USA, the citizens can stand up and fight a totalitarian regime who would make such an attempt and tyranny. My feelings is the Israeli government doesn't always have the best intention for its people, but rather seeks to kiss up to its European and Obamish masters.
My relatives who were massacred in Belarus by the Nazis were also not allowed to own guns, by order of the Czar and then the Communists. They were systematically exterminated by Nazi government troops. Considering, the type of threat Israel and Jewish people are under every day, how can the Israeli government deny Israeli citizens their right to keep and bear arms? It is wrong.. I am hoping a new government will come that will grant all Jewish people their freedoms.
