SPRING VALLEY — The village chapter of the NAACP has filed a complaint accusing the Ben Gilman Medical and Dental Clinic of religious discrimination for closing on Saturdays.
The complaint, filed Sept. 6 with the state's Division of Human Rights, alleges that the clinic's practice of remaining closed Saturdays in observance of operators' Jewish Sabbath, unlawfully imposes their religious beliefs on others.

The central alleged complaint is a lack of availability to non-Jews, but that is an idiotic and worthless notion. If non-Jews want Jewish dentists - who they seem to prefer - they can receive dentistry on the other days of the week. No one must use any particular firm or company for dental services. There is no civil right to see a dentist on any given day of the week, nor any essential right to see a dentist at all. But Jews have a right - an absolute one - to not work on Shabbos

This is what happens when an organization that has outlived its purpose is allowed to run amuck.  In an attempt to justify its continued existence, they resort to illogical tactics, untenable positions, and downright nonsensical theatrics.
