These Are the Three Teens Arrested and Suspected of Murdering Student Chris Lane ‘For the Fun of It’Social networking pages appearing to belong to 15-year-old James Edwards, one of the suspects accused of mercilessly gunning down Australian student Chris Lane “for the fun of it,” reveals a video of Edwards brandishing a gun as well as multiple photos showing piles of cash he claims belong to him.
The other teens, all said to be facing first-degree murder charges, have reportedly been identified as 16-year-old Chancey Luna and 17-year-old Michael Jones.
“***** we up dem poles, **** with me,” James can be heard saying in a newly surfaced Vine video, while brandishing a gun. The New York Post and Daily Mail both report this is authentic video of James.
Other photos have surfaced reportedly showing what appears to be a handgun and a large bundle of one-hundred dollar bills allegedly belonging to James.
The Duncan Police Department declined to comment about the suspects to TheBlaze Tuesday afternoon. A spokesperson for the district attorney’s office was also unavailable for comment by the time of publication.
Police reportedly said they believe the accused had killed an animal before shooting Lane.
An Australian news outlet published what appears to be mugshots of the three boys.
The parents of some of the teens reacted on Tuesday.
Mother of Chancey Luna, Jennifer Luna, refused to believe her son pulled the trigger of the fatal shot.
“They said it happened at 3 p.m.,” Luna told KSWO-TV. “I get off of work at 3 and it just takes me five minutes to get to the house and he was at home.”
Father of suspect James Edwards told KSWO-TV his son must be innocent because his son told him, “I didn’t have nothing to do with it.”
