It's true, my wife has family in Venezuela, a lot of things are sold on the black market including currency, they have special markets for the wealthy, most of the markets are rationed and it's difficult to actually get the things you need because everyone is paid from the subsidized oil, so good luck getting a smart phone or a tv including necessities like toilet paper.
