THE MESSAGE OF FREEDOM MODIFIED
Sons, as I write you this letter, of days past and days yet to come,
And the message of freedom, from the One who had freed them;
I stand at the edge of the pages of Scripture, of lessons well learned.
It seems that these pages were in timely turned,
And boys it’s a mystery.
Children I’m sorry you were born in this world in a state of disaster.
I was born into it in a similar state,
And I woke up so late in the game,
Unraveling faster.
'Cause Freedom’s the answer to what is the question.
Resist the advance of demonic oppression,
and leave to your children the promise of something more.
As God is my witness, I’ll be a slave no more.
Boys listen close, for our souls will depend
On the actions we take, and the Truth that we choose to defend,
So love God and neighbors and friends.
And live your own lives in a righteous procession,
And be ye transformed through your selfless expressions,
And reach out your hands; In time we'll understand.
Children one day I’ll be gone,
And you’ll have to remember my words, and be strong,
As you cling to yourselves and His Word,
Your faith, and your father’s song.
You’ve known this all along.
'Cause Freedom’s the answer to what is the question.
Resist the advance of demonic oppression,
And leave to your children the promise of something more.
As God is my witness, I’ll be a slave no more.
The biblical message endured every tyrant,
The worst of the despots the world’s ever known.
And for one simple reason: God's people have kept it alive.
And with no end in sight of the crises and violence
That men in high places will sinfully incite;
The will of Yehovah, in you it must survive.
'Cause Freedom’s the answer to what is the question.
Resist the advance of demonic oppression,
And leave to your children the promise of something more.
As God is my witness, I’ll be a slave no more.
Well Freedom’s the answer to what is the question.
Resist the advance of demonic oppression,
And leave to your children the promise of something more.
As Yah is my witness, I’ll be afraid no more.
Is life so dear, and peace so sweet,
to be purchased with chains from our necks to our feet?
Forbid this LORD, I know not what is left.
Give me liberty or give me death.
