Russian-Serbian Connection

haha!

Husar:

Masha:
I am from the former SU. I am Jewish, but my culture is Russian. I know many Russians and I read a lot of Russian forums. I can say from personal experience that Russians are overwhelmingly pro-Serbian. I have never heard anything negative about Serbians from a Russian. During the war in Yugoslavia, Russians were absolutely outraged about the treatment of the Serbs by the Western media. It was in the Russian media that one first heard about the alternative account of the war, exposing such hoaxes as fake Bosnian concentration camps and fake mass graves.

However, the question is also whether the Russian government is the friend of the Serbian government. That is not so obvious, because governments are opportunistic. Russia didn't what what it could during the Yugoslavian war. It held back and let the Serbs be defeated. Very morally wrong, in my opinion. Now the Russian media is discussing the "carrot" that the EU government offered Serbia: namely, Serbia will be given an opportunity to join the EU in exchange of Kosovo's independence. I think it would be wrong for Serbs to accept it. What do you all think?

You are absolutely 100% right about this.
But to be honest Russia did helped us in SC recently by not allowing Martti Ahtisaari's proposal to pass.
And as far as the "carrot policy" is concerned no one in Serbia doesn't even think about that so called EU offer.
No one in Serbia is ready to give up Kosovo and Metohia for quicker entering the EU.

Husar:
Masha, I agree both with you and Lamed.

Concerning the governments,
they can't fool neither Serbs nor Russians:
we know we're Brothers.

Concerning european union of NAZIS: no thanks.
