I was in Tel Aviv yesterday, by the cinemateque.
I saw a political demonstration. As I neared I saw it was the "Arba Imaot" Four Mothers movement, an extreme left wing movement. To my delight there were only about 10-15 people in this "big" demonstration and all of them were really old. I struggled to find a single person below age 60.
I notice that the extreme left in Israel is ageing and not getting new young members but this was the most extreme example I have seen.
I wanted to take a photo of it to show to this group but never managed to learn to use my cellphone camera.
Everyone here - next time you see a left wing movement or something like the Meretz party demostrate in Israel on TV, have a look at the ages of the people in it. The message is reaching the young people.
