I didn't like the article to tell you the truth. On the one hand it mentions the alternative

Referring to it as fiction (which by the way can be problematic as an interpretation that Rav Kook had).
On the other hand these are those who do not hold by it so they need to get food from other places.
And lastly their isn't mention of an ALTERNATIVE to both of these which is Otzer Beit Din.
I wouldn't necessarily call them self-hating but just stupid.
