Is this organization enticing people to commit homosexuality?

http://www.eshelonline.org

Eshel’s mission is to create community and acceptance for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Jews and their families in Orthodox communities. Founded in June of 2010, Eshel provides hope and a future for Orthodox LGBT women, men, and teens. Eshel accomplishes its goals in a number of ways. Eshel trains its members to speak out and act as advocates for LGBT Orthodox people and their families; Eshel creates bridges into Orthodox communities to foster understanding and support; through community gatherings Eshel helps LGBT Orthodox people pursue meaningful lives that encompass seemingly disparate identities while also fulfilling Jewish values around family, education, culture, and spirituality. Over the past four years, Eshel’s work has gained national recognition and broad media coverage for its innovative mission and unique reach.

They claim to have an Orthodox rabbinic advisory board.

Are they trying to get homosexuals to be included in the mainstream Jewish community without trying to help them get over their sinful thoughts that lead to sinful homosexual behavior or are they offering them counseling to stop having such thoughts? If it is the former, are they guilty of enticement to commit Gilui Arayot?

There is nothing wrong with people who have sinful inclinations who control them and avoid acting on them. This is a challenge for many of us who have inclinations which do not gibe with Jewish commandments. Sure I want to eat a bacon cheeseburger, but I do not act on it. Sometimes the thought does enter my mind and I remember how delicious they were. But I have the presence of mind and willpower to avoid situations where I might succumb to the desire. As I become more observant these kinds of changes become slightly less difficult.

I think there should be support for people with homosexual inclinations within the Jewish community. Of course it should not encourage the prohibited behavior, but it should not harp on it as well. I hope that this organization is helping them and not hurting them.
You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities

This is a hideous organization which seeks to spread the plague of homosexual perversion and make it acceptable even among Orthodox Jews, G-d forbid. These cursed traitors lead Jews down the path to self-destruction. Their organization is an abomination.

I found out about this organization because there was a post on my local Orthodox community list serve about a retreat for the parents of "LGBT" children, whether the parents were accepting of their children or not. It seemed like a support group but the website seems like it supports homosexuality in some thing but in other things it seems like its helping homosexuals stop being homosexual. Of course the group Jews Offering New Alternatives to Homosexuality is better.

This is the website of Jews Offering New Alternatives to Homosexuality.

https://jonahweb.org

Apparently they have a new name I didn't know about. They also have Muslim country flags at the top of the screen to translate into Turkish and Arabic.

JONAH's Logo Change  (Posted September 2010)

In January 2010, JONAH launched a new logo. This new logo reflects both JONAH's growing outreach to all corners of the globe and the wider scope of issues with which we are concerned.

With the demand for our services increasing exponentially, professional staff has been added to work together with the volunteer Co-Directors. The new logo reflects this increased professionalism.

JONAH's legal name is simply "JONAH," chosen to symbolize the reluctant Biblical prophet Jonah who carried a message of healing to the people of Nineveh.  JONAH's initial thrust, as reflected in the original meaning of its acronym (Jews Offering New alternatives to Homosexuality), was to work with those with unwanted same-sex attractions by providing the community with educational outreach services, including counseling referrals, for affected individuals and their families.

However, numerous individuals sought out JONAH to provide advice and services concerning several other issues of sexual confusion.  Therefore, our scope of services has been broadened to now include issues involving other sexual conflicts (e.g. sexual promiscuity, pornography, sexual abuse, pedophilia or pederasty, compulsive masturbation, fetishes, transvestitism, incest, prostitution, emotional dependency, sexual addictions, etc.).  In light of this demand, the Board of Directors determined that a more encompassing meaning was required for our acronym, one that is reflective of this broader scope and thus chose "Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing."
