Obama identifies as an Israeli? Why would he say we?

The article is stupid in saying white for Ashkeanzim since all the Jews are white, whether they are light or dark. Of course there are exceptions such as some of the Ethiopians, other blacks, and other non-whites who converted al pi Halacha (or from interracial marriage).

If you compare Sfaradim to minorities in the US, it's not accurate either. Sfaradim are generally Right Wing while the self-hating Ashkenazim are like the Democrats in the US. Minorities in the US generally side with the Democrats. Also, poorer Israelis vote Right Wing. The Leftists who pretend to care about the poor really hate most poor Israelis. For the Leftists it's all about having a Socialist ideology, not really caring about the poor. Most of the Socialists in Israel are the rich elite. It's just like Obama supporters are rich and want to impose Socialism on everybody else.

Maybe you are talking about your experience but I don't think all Sephardic Jews are right-wing. Most Sephardim I know are just as likely to be democrats as not... Is there any statistic which bolsters your position?

I'm talking about Sfardic Jews in Israel. Sfardic Jews in Israel are generally more Right Wing. When it comes to non-religious Israeli Jews, the Ashkenazim are mostly self-hating while Sfaradim are not. Sfardic Jews are the majority of Jews in Israel. Non-religious Ashkenazim don't have many kids. The Ashkenazic Secular elite are the Establishment self-hating Jews. Most Sfardic Jews are against the elite Establishment people.

Regarding Sfardic Jews in the US, it's possible that they are just as self-hating as their Ashkenazic counterparts. Maybe they left Israel due to self-hatred. Non-religious Israeli Jews outside of Israel tend to be self-hating but some become more Right Wing outside of Israel than they were when in Israel.

The libs have an irrational hatred of Begin because he's a proud Jew and nationalist Jew and so was the camp he led.   Proud and nationalistic Jews drive the world insane no matter what good they do.

Ironically, leftists and Jew haters like Obama should make a shrine to Begin because Begin is the one who invented rights and the concept of self-rule for Arabs in the unannexed "territories."   For all their self hatred and leftism, the ben gurions of the world did not have illusions about the arab enemy and did not care about "freedom" for other peoples. (Notice obama didn't mention ben gurion, who btw also defied the US by declaring statehood).  People like obama speak through a political filter and are incapable of even a word of honesty.  Everything he says about Israel is about pumping the Labor party because today they are allies with the democratic party.  History doesn't matter, just partisanship.  The Israeli people voted against the obama vision.

It is definitely true that Sephardim in Israel are generally more rightwing than ashkenazim.  They are less influenced by European leftism and socialism.  Most of Rabbi Kahane's supporters were Sephardim, and Begin was a hero to that population and they formed a large portion of his base too in his quest to become PM.
