The murder of Rabbi Eitam and Naama Henkin in front of their children in Samaria has crossed a red line, Rabbi Haim Druckman, head of the Bnei Akiva yeshivas and a leading religious-Zionist figure, stated in a special interview with Arutz Sheva on Friday.
"This is an extremely shocking event," Rabbi Druckman said tearfully. "How can it be that murderers move freely among us in front of bereaved children and their families and we do not do anything?"
"I trust our security forces are pursuing the killers, like they do every time, and that they will catch them," he added. "But that's after the fact. There can be no such reality [on the ground]."
"We must go above and beyond, to the point that such a thing will not happen again under any circumstances. It cannot be that these horrors will repeat themselves."
Rabbi Druckman maintained that the immediate next step is to increase security in Judea-Samaria - and then, full sovereignty.
"All these places must become an integral part of the State of Israel," he urged, adding that the recent rise in terror has made living in the area close to "unbearable."
"We cannot continue with the reality which has stood until now."
