Good point that people are supporting Carly Fiorina only because she's a woman and supporting Carson only because he's black. It's a real shame honestly. "Conservatism" has come to this, that so-called conservatives are the ones attempting to promote affirmative action. A truly non-sexist and non-racist person wouldn't care if we ever had a black president, or a female president, etc. They would simply want the best person for the job regardless of what their ancestry was or what was between their legs.

As conservatives our goal should not be to elect a female president or minority president but to elect the best president regardless.

I agree with you that Cruz is the best candidate that has a viable chance of winning. Too bad that chance seems to be becoming slimmer and slimmer as time goes forward.

People are attracted to Trump, not for any reasons of policy, but for the same reason that Putin is popular among conservatives. They're admired for appearing to be masculine, manly men. We feel like we've been led by a bunch of wimpy girly men. This is why people who show even a hint of masculinity are admired regardless of the fact they're not even conservative.

It's strange how on the one hand people are attracted to those who appear masculine but at the same time would be eager to see affirmative action in place for women.

Hillary combines both ideals. This is why she is so dangerous.
