Students for Israel gather outside EU ambassador's residence holding images of anti-Jewish boycotts prior to Holocaust.http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/203283The Students for Israel movement held a demonstration Wednesday night in Herzliya outside the home of the EU envoy to Israel, following the body's decision to label Jewish prodcuts from Judea-Samaria and the Golan Heights.
The activists held up pictures of banned Jewish-owned stores in Europe at the outset of the Holocaust, with crowds holding signs, like: 'Do not buy from the Jews!"
Israeli flags and chants of "never again" could also be heard outside Lars Faaborg-Andersen's residence.
Movement chairman Eliyahu Nissim blasted the EU's decision as "illegitimate" and noted the group both "rejected and scorned" it.
"This is actually a denial of our right to live as Jews in our country," he argued. "The fact that the Golan Heights is on the list of areas they chose to label proves that we're not talking here about [teh question of] Jewish sovereignity in Judea and Samaria, rather an anti-Jewish decision which continues the EU's policies of the last few years."
"We came to remind the ambassador that our existence as a people in Israel includes Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and Jerusalem in particular," Nissim stressed.
"After the horrific Holocaust and genocide of six million Jews at the hands of Europe, we arrived in our homeland to establish a national, democratic and secure state," he continued. "Since then we have been subjects to violent attacks by terrorist groups out to destroy us. With your anti-Semitic decision today, you are cooperating and helping the worst of Israel's enemies."
"The over six million Jews living in Israel today will not shut up," Nissim declared. "No more. It is clear to us that a return to the 1967 borders means a return... to the 1939 borders. We say sharply and clearly: we will never withdraw and allow the establishment of a sovereign terrorist state in the heart of our country. "
"We urge you to immediately cease any intervention in Israel's policy and demand you cease helping the enemies of Israel by canceling your hypocritical, anti-Semitic decision."
