Maybe they want the Jewish vote so they shut up. In the past otherwise Conservative Senators would bash him. They think he's a traitor but they are the real traitors.

Will Cruz remove the parole restrictions?

It says they all dodged it.

Republicans fall all over themselves trying to show how much they love Israel, so why are they so quiet about convicted traitor Jonathan Pollard?

At least they call their website appropriately. They are beasts if they believe that.

They also say he received the mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years. The average sentence for the one crime he was charged with is 2-4 years. He was only charged with passing classified information to an ally. People charged with more serious crimes got a lighter sentence than him.

Carson Only Major Presidential Candidate to Back Pollard’s Release

U.S. politicians, who are so eager to show they are pro-Israel, are suddenly silent when it comes to talking about Pollards' release. Carson is the only exception.
Quote
Carson’s communications director Doug Watts e-mailed an answer, which was only somewhat supportive:

Jonathan Pollard has done his time and therefore Dr Carson has no objection or concern with his release. As for his travel restriction, Dr Carson defers to the judgment of the Parole Board.

Donald Trump did not respond, although that does not necessarily mean anything because it is impossible to know what his mood was when he was asked.

Jeb Bush was silent.

Marco Rubio was silent. Ditto for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, assuming the Daily Best asked them.
