PBS Documentary
« on: October 19, 2006, 04:52:26 PM »
I found this on the web today - it's from April 2005:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/israel/view/

The viewpoint is typical PBS, but it has a lot of history and interviews with Kahanists in Israel (Noam Federman), the Hilltop Youth, Mike Guzovsky, etc.  So ignore the narrater and listen to Federman ;)

Has anyone translated Noam Federman's guidebook on surviving an interrogation?

I have seen a English version if you can get your hands on it memorize it, the things he teaches would also work in American prisons

I allways watch it, today I showed it to 2 of my friends. 1 loved it ( and got upset that the bomb didnt go off , (part 2), the other thought they were crazy.
The Academy of Elijah taught, whoever studies the laws (of the Torah) every day, (he) is guaranteed to have a share in the World to Come.

‏119:139 צִמְּתַתְנִי קִנְאָתִי כִּישָׁכְחוּ דְבָרֶיךָ צָרָי
My zeal incenses me, for my adversaries have forgotten Your words.
‏119:141 צָעִיר אָנֹכִי וְנִבְזֶה פִּקֻּדֶיךָ, לֹא שָׁכָחְתִּי.
I am young and despised; I have not forgotten Your precepts.

" A fool does not realize, and an unwise person does not understand this (i.e. the following:) When the wicked bloom like grass, and the evildoers blossom (i.e. when they seem extremly successful), it is to destroy them forever (i.e. they are rewarded for their few good deeds in this World, and they will have no portion in the World to Come!)

What a hatchet job.

I'm always amazed at the psychological impact of music.  Notice (at the end of the Federman segment) the psychological power of the ominous music.  The narrators words (lies) are given a degree of gravitas through the infusion of this very subtle and psychological strategy.
