Read it again. Try finding the part where God commands creatures to reproduce after their own kind. Not for a fish to have offspring that's half fish half corn, or for a pig to have an offspring with human body parts, etc.
God gives commandments to human beings throughout the Torah, and that is where Jewish Law is derived from. Point me to where God said do not alter genetics of animals.
I don't believe there is any halacha restricting genetic manipulations of animals. Anyone have any different source to contradict me? Taking a random verse and interpreting it as one sees fit (especially when it can be interpreted in many different ways) does not suffice to define ethics, let alone "pure evil," in any objective sense.
