For Iowa this is the moment of truth. Trump is either pressing his luck with this move (and it will totally backfire) or his followers are so blind and devoted to his authoritarian ways that he has enough of a base to win no matter what.  At least this keeps the door open for Cruz (if he uses it correctly, which I assume he will).
