I strongly suggest all here read this book.
It is an extraordinary eyewitness account by an American journalist living in Germany before and during Hitler's rise to power.
After reading it your knowledge of human nature will be greatly expanded, and you will hopefully better understand the historical forces which caused the most advanced, civilized, and progressive society in the world* to regress into barbarism and mass psychosis.
*and make no mistake about it...Germany led the world in every field of scientific and artistic endeavor prior to WWII.
p.s.--and make sure to read what Rabbi Meir Kahane wrote and taught about the German people and the rise of Hitler...many here may be shocked to find out what he taught us about the German character in comparison to that of Americans.
