Since when was it possible for any Republican to win after Trump or Hitlery's amnesty plan?

There is a chance to win in mostly white working class states of the Midwest. Mitt Romney could have won the elections had he not alienated the conservative base.

On a more abstract level, at some point the leftist policies become such an obvious and painful failure that they get thrown out. It happened for example very recently in Argentina where people have had enough of the Peronist  party's insanity.
