Why should the American Embassy give gifts to political organizations? Do they give gifts to Right Wing groups? Why give gifts to Leftist groups?

What if the Israeli Embassy gave gifts to the NRA or an Evangelical organization? Wouldn't Obama say that it's interfering in internal American politics?
