For the duration of the campaign, Marine Le Pen has delegated the Presidency of the National Front Party to Jean-François Jalkh who was recorded in 2000 by Magali Boumaza, a journalist, stating:
« Me, I say that we should be able to debate this problem (of the gas chambers) » declaring that there are crazy and serious holocaust deniers like Robert Faurisson whose « rigor » he salutes. « He doesn’t want to offend anybody » explaining that he asked a chemist about Zyklon B « Me, I consider that from a technical standpoint it’s impossible, I say again, impossible to use it for mass exterminations. Why? Because it takes several days to decontaminate a room where Zyklon B was used ».
