1 Kislev, 5768.

I wish everyone a Chodesh Tov (Good Month) for Rosh Chodesh Kislev, The New Moon of Kislev. The birth of The New Moon was yesterday morning. Since Cheshvan had only 29 days this year, this is a one day Rosh Chodesh.

In 24 days from tonight, we will be celebrating Hanukkah. Let's hope that The Temple will be rededicated by then just like the original Hanukkah so we are able to bring the Musaf offerings of Rosh Chodesh Tevet, which will be a one day Rosh Chodesh this year, since Kislev only has 29 days this year. Rosh Chodesh Tevet will be the 6th day of Hanukkah and we will take out two Torahs, the first being the Rosh Chodesh reading, and the second being the Hanukkah reading, both from The Book of Numbers.

Yacov Menashe Ben Rachamim,
Chief Administrator.
