In short, the Rutgers English Department wants to make sure that students who come to Rutgers with a poor grasp of standard written English not only remain in that state, but come to believe that learning standard English is a concession to racism. I remember when keeping "people of color" ignorant was considered part of white supremacy.
I remember to have read, that during the Nazi occupation of eastern Europe the people there were only allowed to learn the basics. Allowed was only elementary school level. In addition they murdered lots of educated people from slawic background in order to keep the population stupid.
Of cause the demonrats in the Universities can give people of color every diploma they like. They said already, that this people have not to reach the normal education level to get a degree, but can succeed with less.
This is such a cruelity. Later they will be out there in the job market and or self employed and wonder, why they perform so badly. Perhaps they will get a [censored] job with the gouvernment if at all.
The truth is, because of two generations of decay in Demonrat infested cities, this people have now to learn and work double hard to get even on the same level than the rest of the population.
And we should not forget, before the Demonrats became the patrons of African Americans they have not performed so badly. And I have read somewhere, that now immigrants from Nigeria, Ethopia and Kenya are the majority of African American students in US universities.
It seems that the God hating, anti free market, immoral and socialist mainstream effects certain cultures more than others. Of cause all get dragged down from their full potential, but some more than others.
I have read, that this woke and liberal attitude is a kind of signal to show the own status. I don't find the article now, but there was written, that rich people - the upper class - tend to show the people with certain actions that are harmfull, expensive and unproductive, that they can afford it compared to others. In the article was given as examples a dog breeding association that bred a special race of very useless small dogs in late 19th century and lots of rich people were members there . Or another example was the playing of Golf. While during this time the factory worker in the industry has to work 6 days for 12 hours to sustaiun his family.
Back to the article: I think a student from an educated household can read already, before he comes to school. So even if they don't teach the right grammar in the school or university he will be not so much effected by it. But an African American from working class will be usually hurt very much by this policy. Specially if the mother is alone and has to work from morning to evening and is not at home.
If I would be Satan and would make the life difficult for people, I would be a woke Democrat.
