The Slavs accepted Christianity for a simple reason. It brought literacy.

Old Slavic is the first written Slavic language. The oldest form of that language is found in biblical translations and other church books from the 10th and 11th century.

Totally wrong Judah. Catholics believe in salvation by works. You're talking about protestants who believe in salvation by simply asking for forgiveness. There's a lot of misinformation when it comes to the new testament.  Ignorant people try to blend the horrible things  so called Christians did through history with what the new
testament states.
