The sentiment that I seemed he hear was that a deal needed to be made while some hostages were still alive... Me myself would not make a deal yesterday, today or even tomorrow... However, it seemed "people wanted their people back at any price"

  To begin with, there should never, ever be
  ‘sanctions’ on the Holy Land of Israel as that
  in and of itself is a huge outrage and unholy
  shanda! With that said, this case, of course,
  Donald Trump did the ‘right’ thing.

I wish we had a more ruthless leadership that simply said NO. We are going to pay with blood multiple times over for this deal. But you are correct Jews as a public are incapable of consistently acting and thinking only rationally and leave emotions aside.
