I have done jdate, friendster, myspace, etc...
but if you want to meet someone, make some friends, go to parties, socialize etc etc etc rather than sticking your finger up your butt all day long complaining about Imerica..

Although I never said I didn't use these sites (I just said I didnt believe in them) I must come clean and admit that I did ONCE! It was non of the websites listed, I guess some Orthodox dating site. Naturally, I didnt contact anyone as I am not Orthodox yet, but I just wanted to see what those dating sites are like, PLUS I would like to marry a Torah observant Jewish man in the future.I was just looking around that site.
Ok, thanks for that honest answer Mills... I sure there are more people out there otherwise Online Dating wouldn't be a muti-billion dollar business.

Online dating is amazing, including for those who believe it's "not for them." I personally have had much more success with the online dating thing than I ever did with trying to meet people in person at bars, clubs, social events, even Jewish singles dances. Some other people I know who for the longest time said, "it's not for them", when they finally bit the bullet and gave it a try, they were extremely successful and one of my friends met her current husband on match.com.

I said already NEVER! I need to see, smell, feel that person, to absorb every move, every word and every gesture! I am very selective, not interested in superficial things, very profound and future oriented person. Internet dating could be fun, but all I can do about it is to make FUN of it! I think one has to be
1.really desperate to attempt to such of modality of searching his soul mate
2. day dreamer and childish
3. with physical or emotional problems.

That is completely false and is an extremely faulty generalization! The whole point of online dating is to meet someone with mutual interests and criteria in order to then go out and meet in person. I certainly have gone out and met many women who I have met and chatted with online. I think you're getting online dating confused with this forum.

That is completely false and is an extremely faulty generalization! The whole point of online dating is to meet someone with mutual interests and criteria in order to then go out and meet in person. I certainly have gone out and met many women who I have met and chatted with online. I think you're getting online dating confused with this forum.

People go to bars because bars are basically social gatherings and the potential to meet new people are therefore higher in a bar than randomly in public. You can't count on there being a party to go to, to meet people, a bar is a kind of a party that is always going on. That said, the caliber of people you can meet at a bar varies, it is a roll of the dice.

I dont mind a sports bar, mostly rowdy hockey fans there....singles bars no way

OK, so there are creeps all over the place... but you can't just become house bound and not socialize EVER!
It's OK to go out to places where you have a higher % of meeting a better class of people.

I have met my future wife online. Her name is Kseniya and she is a former Russian Beauty Queen. I still haven't met her yet but I have seen her picture and she always writes me nice emails. I send her about $800 a month to help her pay for the medication of her sick mother. As soon as her mother is well she will come to the UK where we will marry :)
