General Discussion / Re: How Not to be President
« Last post by Rubystars on Today at 01:54:50 AM »
I see this forum still has the same low level of dialogue it always has.

It's good to be able to disagree with people without calling them twats or libtards.

There are some people who treat Trump like a cult-like figure and treat him like a quasi-religious figure... similar to what was done with Obama where people did that to him as well... acting like he had the light of hope to shine on everyone.

I supported Cruz in the primary and it took me a long time to warm up to Trump because his narcissism was a turn off... but I do like him now that I've seen him as president. I also loved how he recently dominated in the CNN town hall.

There are a lot of non-cult Trump supporters who believe that he's just a better choice than DeSantis or Biden. It doesn't make us twats or tards.

Also, Riley Gaines was awarded her rightful title that she lost to a transvestite at a DeSantis rally in South Carolina.

After Trump's former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany reported some poll on Fox News that had Trump leading DeSantis by only 25 points, Trump threw a Trumper tantrum and turned on Kayleigh like a raging pit bull.  Now Kayleigh McEnany actually deserves to be a victim of Trump, because she should have known better than to endorse Trump over Cruz in the 2016 primary.  But it's good that some people are actually starting to pull endorsements of Trump and switch to DeSantis over this.  Hopefully more will follow.

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2023/06/02/trump-loses-endorsement-to-desantis-over-attack-on-kayleigh-mcenany-n1699979

On Tuesday evening, former President Donald Trump used his social media platform, Truth Social, to launch an attack on his former press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany.

The attack didn’t sit well with many Republicans, and it has now cost him at least one endorsement. State Rep. James Spillane (R-Deerfield) told the NH Journal he’s switching his endorsement to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“I can no longer continue endorsing former President Trump,” Spillane said. “I am officially withdrawing my endorsement, as his most recent attack on Kayleigh McEnany is beyond comprehension and explanation. Against my deepest hopes that Trump had learned some measure of control, he has attacked those who have been his staunchest supporters with no regard for their loyalty.”

In his post, Trump accused McEnany of reporting bogus poll data during her appearance on Fox News, and referred to her as “Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany.” Without citing a specific poll, Trump claimed he was actually leading by 34 points over Ron DeSantis, rather than the reported 25 points. In addition to the incorrectly spelled insult, Trump piled on his attack of McEnany and suggested that she is better suited for the “RINOS & Globalists,” and said her network, Fox News, should only employ “REAL Stars.”

Spillane was one of 50 Republican members of the New Hampshire House of Representatives who endorsed Trump’s candidacy in April. Spillane is the fourth state rep to flip from Trump to DeSantis in recent weeks, and more are likely to come.

“The people of New Hampshire, and the people of this nation, deserve messages of positivity and hope, not negative attacks and degradation as we have seen is the hallmark of the Biden administration,” Spillane said.“I cannot condone the vitriol and disregard for others that Trump has been exhibiting, and I withdraw my endorsement immediately. I am endorsing Ron DeSantis for president in 2024. I pray for the nation that DeSantis remains true to his positive messaging and continues on to win the Republican primary with his vision of positive American success.”

The backlash against Trump’s criticism of his loyal and outspoken ally has sparked strong reactions within New Hampshire’s conservative and MAGA GOP circles. Some local Trump supporters have gone as far as claiming that Trump’s post is a “deep fake” created by DeSantis.

“I’ve got [Trump] die-hards telling me they don’t believe it and they say it’s fake, that he didn’t post it,” said Kate Day, the former chair of Cheshire County Republicans, who is a DeSantis supporter.

How many more Trump backers are going to switch their endorsement? It’s impossible to guess, but I suspect more are coming. As much as I hope Trump will learn from this and modify his behavior, I’m not confident that he will.

General Discussion / Victim of Vestite Vermin Endorses Ron DeSantis
« Last post by Dan Ben Noah on Today at 12:14:19 AM »
Riley Gaines is a female competitive swimmer who was forced to compete against a male transvestite.  She knows first hand the threat posed by transvestite ideology to women, so naturally she would endorse someone who takes that issue seriously.  Let's see...Trump lets transvestites run wild in his restrooms, while DeSantis has actually outlawed transvestite mutilation surgery.  I guess that's why she's going with DeSantis.

https://www.dailywire.com/news/riley-gaines-endorses-desantis-for-president-its-the-right-thing-for-women

Former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, a 12-time All-American athlete who was forced to compete against trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas in the 2022 NCAA Championships, endorsed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president during an interview this week.

Gaines has since dedicated herself to defending and protecting “America’s daughters against the woke left and their gender-denying ideology.”

During a Thursday interview with Newsmax’s “The Balance” with Eric Bolling, Gaines made her endorsement of DeSantis.

“I’ve been affected by this gender ideology propaganda that’s being pushed across this country,” she said. “I really understand the threat that we as Americans are under, just based off my own experience, and being forced to compete and change in a locker room with a male, as well as being physically attacked by a mob for simply saying that that’s unfair.”

Gaines argued that the Biden administration is actively discriminating against women and girls “systematically” throughout the U.S.

“That’s why this next election is so important for the sake of restoring and ultimately saving America and the people who live here,” she said. “So that being said, I’m so excited to announce that I am officially endorsing Governor DeSantis as president.”

“His leadership has been crucial in rooting out the radical ideology that’s really driving this insanity, and really bringing visibility to these cultural issues that affect the breakdown of families, the breakdown of faith, the breakdown of freedoms,” she continued. “He’s really taken on this political establishment, the woke corporations, the media, and he’s won. And we know this based off his success in Florida alone.”

Bolling said that people often associate her with former President Donald Trump and asked her if she was ready for the blowback she was about to receive for endorsing DeSantis.

“I have the unwavering morals to know what I’m doing by endorsing Governor DeSantis is the right thing,” she said. “It’s the right thing for me, it’s the right thing for women, it’s the right thing for Americans.”

Ann Coulter has made anti-Semitic remarks before, and she's not a true conservative because she supported Trump over Cruz in the 2016 primary among other things.  However, the point of this post is to show that it is possible for even an anti-Semitic Trumptard (or in this case the female version - the Trumptwat) to see the light and leave the Trump cult if they use their brain.  Unfortunately, this is normally not the case.  I believe Chaim mentioned something once in a video about Ann Coulter being one of the few Trump supporters who actually turned against him after he failed to follow through with the wall.  Although we do not support Ann Coulter, switching to DeSantis is to her credit.

:usa+israel:                                                                                                                      :fist:

And Donald Trump has the chutzpah to refer to
Ron DeSantis as a novice while DeSantis has
political experience as a Governor while Trump did
not have any before, only appealing to the ‘left’ mainly.
DeSantis, because he is surely devoted to making his
point by ‘proving himself,’ is now a hungrier and more
  viable candidate.

If you didn't notice, " chutzpah" is a big part of Donald Trump's brand... and a big part of his appeal. Sometimes it's brilliant like when he straight up told CNN and such that they were fake news. Sometimes it's silly like when he keeps calling Ron DeSantis "Rob". Either way most of his supporters enjoy that Trump is bombastic and crass and such. It's a refreshing change from the George W Bush and Bob Dole era of Republicans

Whether he is or isn't, we know he's evil and has to be opposed. The particular flavor of evil isn't as important as recognizing him as an enemy.
