HaRav Meir David Kahane ZT"L HY"D - The 27th Yahrzeit
TODAY, MORE THAN EVER: EVERYONE KNOWS RABBI KAHANE WAS RIGHT!
Join us - Family, Friends, Students, Public Figures - as we mark the 27th Yahrzeit of the Rav-Scholar-Warrior for the Torah of the unique Jewish Idea, on
TUESDAY 18 Marcheshvan/7 November.
The following events are in HEBREW. (See below for information on the English Memorial, two days earlier):
* STARTING AT NOON: Shiurim at Yeshivat HaRa'ayon HaYehudi, 11 Shmarya St. (btwn. Shmuel HaNavi and Arzei HaBira), Jerusalem.
* 15:30 bus from Yeshiva to Har HaMenuchot
* 16:00 Graveside memorial at the Rav's kever
* 18:00 Memorial program at Heichal David Hall, Ohaliav 14, Romema (near Central Bus Station), Jerusalem. The Rav's family, students, rabbis and public figures will be participating, and sale of books and other memorabilia will be taking place.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE EVENT
Date: Motzei Shabbat Vayera, Eve of 16 Marcheshvan/November 4 (NOTE: two evenings before the Hebrew program) at Yeshivat HaRa'ayon HaYehudi (address above).
Theme of the evening: The Relevance of Rabbi Kahane's Teachings, 27 Years Later

7:45 pm Rebbetzin Libby Kahane (widow of Rav Meir): Highlights from 'Rabbi Meir Kahane: His Life and Thought' (Vol. 2, 1976-1983).
8:10 pm Shalom Pollack (tour guide): Rabbi Meir Kahane: My personal impressions and memories.
8:45 pm Baruch Marzel: Rabbi Kahane wins!.
9:10 pm Barbara Ginsberg: The feelings and thoughts of Rabbi Meir Kahane.
9:30 pm Rabbi David Katz: The concept of 'Ger Toshav' as Rabbi Kahane teaches in his book 'Or HaRa'ayon' (The Jewish Idea).

The Kahane Yeshivah Memorial Anglo-Meet was exceptionally weak and milquetoast this year!

and Barbara Ginsberg, were strangely dropped at the last minute. Chaim ben Pesach would actually have been escorted out of the premises by the yeshiva students!
Conspiracy cynics like Chamish and Sackett used to claim that like the Hebrew faction, even the Anglo faction of the remnants of the Kahane movement in Israel has been hopelessly infiltrated by GSS agents whose very job is to defang and insipidate it as much as possible!

It's a good cause and there are way more boring places to hear a speech, this is lashon hara, Kol ha kavod on them making a meeting.
